The Anderson County Fair is proud to announce the 2006 Flower Show, "Music in the Garden". hosted by the Anderson Council of Garden Clubs and Anderson Master Gardeners, won the South Carolina Garden Club's first-place award this spring.  It was one of twenty-five asked to submit an application for the National Award.  The Anderson County Fair Flower show as well as shows from five other States scored enough points to receive the National Garden Club's national award for a standard flower show staged in a public building.

The second award at the Anderson County Fair & Expo Center came earlier this year when the Annual Southeast Showdown  Car & Truck Show won Best Car Show for 2006.  The award came from several National Car & Truck Magazine publishers.  The Southeast Showdown beat over 2,000 other car and truck shows across the country.

The Southeast Showdown, July 21 & 22, is adding a new division this year, the Acroreunion Chopper featuring motorcycles.

The Anderson County Fair..."It's your Fair... A Family Affair" runs October 12-21, 2007 and promises to be spectacular. The Fair's theme this year is "Tropical Paradise."
